A small but wonderfull fragment of brocaded silk measuring aprox. 35x35cm. Excellent condition and colouring. It dates most likely from the Yongzheng reign (1722-1735) which was a peak-period for many arts including textiles. The (Imperial) yellow suggests it was some kind of furnishing textile for the Forbidden City. It retains one selvage. Not mounted.
