A Cizhou jar with wide rim used to store rice or grains. Early Qing, second half 17th C. up to first quarter 18th. The glaze is somewhat rough and thick at some spots. In fair condition with two superficial stars in the glaze. The wear to the rim shows how these jars after use were washed and put upside down to dry. Height 64 cm, diameter 40 cm.
