A well glazed Cizhou jar with wide rim used to store rice or grains. Early Qing, second half 17th C. up to first quarter 18th. Based on jars with mark that I have seen, production took place from the mid 16th C. (Jiajing) up till Kangxi (1661-1722). Neat example with a three-armed star. Height 62 cm, diameter 40 cm.
