A sandstone kang stone, used to close the oven's firing gate. Shanxi province, Gaoping or Changzhi county, 18th or 19th century. The frontside is decorated with a flower, the backside with a rabbit, carved in basreliëf. There’s wear and damage to corners and edges due to use and age. Dim.: WxDxH34x13x28cm.
