Portrait of a woman. Painting on paper, late 19th century, paneled and remounted on a scroll. The region is unknown. This painting must have been treated roughly judging the many folds in the new mounting. The painting itself also sustained some folds but in a much lesser degree. Along the right side from the top down there is an old tear that is visible as a repainted line in the red of the chair-cover where the tear stops. At breast-hight there's a worn spot in the lila of the dress. Else in good condition, nice and bright of colour. Best solution for this painting would be to undo it of the scrolls and the new mounting and have it framed; the size is allowing to do so. LxW 196x73 (scroll) / 110,5x57,5cm (painting).
