Pair of horseshoe chairs. Hebei province, 19th century. Walnut with original black lacquer. Size: LxDxH 65x49x56 / 101cm. Big, almost oversized chairs like these are typical for Hebei in this period. With both chairs the two rungs (halfway the sides of the seat) connecting seat and armrest are replaced. Further good original condition. Waxed, not re-lacquered.
