A cast iron temple bell from Shanxi province. The mark reads Qianlong, 56th year (1791), 3th month, 22th day. Inside there's a loop to fasten a tongue which has disappeared. Good signs of wear at the loop for the tongue and at the loop to hang it. The three holes at the top are typical for iron bells and singing bowls. They are part of the design and intended to influence the sound. Height 20cm, diameter 17,5cm
